What do I do if my PS3 isn't reading my game?

if your ps3 is not reading your disc take it out,put a couple different games in then test your game again and it will work trust me I've done that before

First make sure your game is for the PS3. Most PS3 consoles play only PS3 games and none of the older models will play any other games than a PlayStation type games. Just because you can go on the internet with the PS3 does not mean that you can play PC games.

First you try another disc to see if it works. Then you put in the other disc. If it still doesn't work then see if there is any scratches or smudges. If there is wash them off with your shirt or something. Then you put it back in. If it still doesn't work then take it back to the store if you just got it. If it's an old disc then you can throw it out because it has seen its better days.

Zeef: sorry but that didn't help me mine ps3 is 2 years old tried many discs and didn't work thinking out refomatting it then see what happens still not then what should I do

See if it will read a DVD movie. You know that a disc drive can go bad don't you.

Self repair of electronic devices can damage them more. See if movies will play to see if the PS3 disc drive is working, download a demo to see if the games play if they are in the harddrive instead of on a disc

You should call sony and return it to them. Hopefully your warranty isn't void or expired, and they'll send you a new one within a week.

most likely your disk-read laser is broken and you must send it to Sony or "legally" acquire a new one.
