Not too difficult. It will require about an hour and a basic understanding of car audio. This is not fully detailed, just the basics. You will need to purchase 2 things. 1. Vehicle Specific Mounting Kit (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-2G4tD0QgWhJ/m_750/Car-Stereo-Installation.html) 2. Vehicle Specific Wiring Harness (same website) The process goes like this: 1. Remove the factory stereo 2. Install the mounting kit which will include a little plastic compartment to fill in the extra space created by having a smaller-than-factory stereo. 3. Connect the wiring harness to the vehicle's existing harness. This should be compatible with your replacement stereo (make sure they are compatible) 4. Connect your new stereo to the harness (which goes between your new stereo and the vehicles current wiring harness) and slide the stereo into place. Done! Enjoy.
all you have to do to get out the old one is there is a hole on bolth sides of the stero and if you get a hanger it will normally work and you just have to pull it out i thought i was going to break some thing but it was all good
3 soldiers were on duty, suddenly enemies attached on them as a result 2 soldiers died in harness and 1 escaped.
I spoke with a technician at Scosche 1(800)621-3695, and he said the wire harness that was needed is a GM07, there is no need to buy a $150.00 stereo wire harness, because the only bonniville's that support that harness were the 2005 and up models. just in case your wondering the dash kit model # is GM2049, that is for a 2000 Pontiac bonniville.
To install a new car stereo in your Honda Civic you will need to have an aftermarket stereo kit specific to the year and model of your car, wirestrippers, screw driver that fits the screws in your dash/old stereo/new stereo, and black electrical tape. First you will remove the dash (which can be more difficult in newer models due to hidden screws) and then the old stereo making sure you disconnect it from the wiring harness. Next put the face on the new stereo and strip the wires on both the old and new wiring harnesses 1/2" from the end. Twist like colored wires together (yellow and red first) and wrap with the black electrical tape. Attach the new wiring harness to the back of the new stereo and push the harness all of the way into the lower portion of the dash. Insert the stereo, screw it in and replace the dashboard cover.
It is bolted to the underside of the throttle body. It has 1 harness connector and is attached with 2 bolts.
2.0 and 2.1 or even 5.1 regarding speakers means that there are 5 speakers to one output device such as the stereo. 2 speakers coming out of 1 stereo or 5 speakers coming out of one stereo. If you were to talk about 9.2 this would mean that there are 9 speakers but attached to 2 output devices such as a television as well as a stereo. Hope this has cleared up your problem.
Top two reasons; 1) the light bulb is burnt out, or 2) the wire harness isn't fully attached to the light socket.
They are c Ihome ihmp5r 2 and 1 stereo headphones.
How to uninstall your factory/or aftermarket stereo in the 2001 Mazda Protege: first you will need a Radio Removal tool. You can buy this at any parts store. you can remove the cover around the stereo, but that is not necessary - you can just pull the stereo out with this dashboard cover in place. remove the vertical tab edges on your car stereo (if it is the factory stereo that came with the Protege) after these are removed, (you can use the tool you just bought to gently pry off the edges), then you will see the holes to insert the removal tool into. Press the tool ends into the holes on both sides, until you hear them click. It's probably about 1 inch deep. Then, pull on both tool edges, the stereo will just pop out then. unplug the stereo, and connect your new stereo. Push the new stereo system back into the slot making sure it's back in as snugly as the other one. You're done. (you may need an insert, or wiring harness depending on the type of stereo you are putting back in. you can buy these were you buy your stereo.)
Buy a wiring harness from a local installation center ( best buy etc.). Car manufacturers use any wire laying around to complete the job. The harness is only like 10 bucks. All you need to is to wire the new stereo to the harness (match up the colors) and then clip the harness into your car. -------- First, get a multimeter or basic volt meter. Generally there should be 11 or 12 wires for the stereo: (1) Constant 12 Volt, (1) Accessory 12 Volt, (1) Sensor wire, (8) Speaker wires. With ignition off, use multimeter and find constant 12 volt wire - this is always on even with ignition off - used to save radio stations and settins. Mark this wire as constant 12 volt. Turn ignition on and find Accessory wire - only comes on with ignition on or in accessory position. Put power wires into new stereo, and then narrow down the speaker wires by connecting two at a time - there are two wires for each speaker, generally the colors match up for each pair. The sensor wire connects to the stereo - the stereo puts out a 12 volt signal to either put up a power antenna or can be used to turn on an amplifier. There may be a ground in there as well.
a mini (1/8") cable can be a y-cable, particularly if it is used to connect a 1/8" stereo connector (like an iPod) to a RCA stereo cable. The 1/8" stereo plug must split (Y) to the left and right RCA in order to connect in stereo.
