What does the gold skulls do in Halo 3?

tough luck : all enemies have extra Dodge ability ( grenades ,rockets, and needler fire) .

catch: covenant take extra grenades with them.

black eye: you have to ( back hand ) a enemie to gain stamina.

tilt :Armored foes are resistant to bullets and weak against plasma fire, unarmored foe are resistant to plasma fire and weak against bullets.

famine: weapons that have dropped by an enemie , the ammo is twice as low as before.

mythic: foes health are doubled ( basicly twice as hard to kill)

iron: no respawns until the end of the wave( in the bonus round this skull is turned on, it dosent allow u to return in the bonus round if u die.( no lives are taken the bonus round)

The gold skulls in Halo 3 each activate different effects to make gameplay more challenging. Also, when metascore is activated, each multiplies your final score by a different set amount. Here is a list of the skulls, their multiplier, and their effect:

Iron - 3.0x - If a team member dies, you are sent back to the last checkpoint. If the entire team dies, you are sent back to the beginning of the level.

Black Eye - 1.5x - Shields don't recharge until you melee an enemy.

Tough Luck - 1.5x - Enemies will dodge grenades, vehicles, and slow moving projectiles more effectively. Enemies are also more likely to go beserk and kamikaze more often.

Catch - 1.5x - NPCs throw grenades at an obsurd rate. All NPCs will always drop 2 grenades.

Fog - 1.5x - Motion Sensor is removed from the HUD.

Famine - 2.0x - All weapons contain half of the original ammo/charge.

Thunderstorm - 1.5x - All enemies are promoted to higher ranks.

Tilt - 2.0x - Enemy defensive resistances/weaknesses amplified.

Mythic - 2.0x - All enemies possess double the amount of health they normally do.
