What is newer Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare or Call of Duty World At War?

cod4 is really good on hardcore hq but cod5 is just slightly better the maps are bigger and there are lots of good sniper spots now there are 2 mappacks aswell japanease Zombies is better then cod4 altogether

Cod 4 - Older version. Good graphics. Okay campain. Connection sucks.

Cod 5 - Newer version. More people playing. Great graphics. Less lag. Good voice chat. Wonderful campain mode.

Overall, i'd vote Cod 5. But, Blackops does cost more, so if you just want a COD online game spending less money, buy Cod 4.

World at War is newer, but Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 came one next followed bu Call of Duty Black Ops. Both Games are not considered old and sell in Greatest Hits additions for reduced prices

WaW is better

The above answer's a complete lie. The single would only be considered better if you like bad action movies with explosions and random crap everywhere and the multiplayer's only good if you like campers and hacks. Graphics-wise, they're both about equal, although I personally think that MW2 looks better.

Also, if you get MW2 on PC, there's no denying that it's the better game.

World at war the single player mode is longer and has a better story, MW2 has a little better graphics, and single player on MW2 can be completed in a few hours. Also MW2 although not bullet proof as the saying goes it has a more accurate experience of war and less Hollywood physics,

Also call of duty WaW while giving you a well put Single Player experience it also gives you that crappy old style ww2 type gaming. MW2 no doubt is better

If you like world war two shooters, world at war is better. If you like modern shooters, MW2 is better. In my opinion world at war is better.

if you have p2/3, xbox or whatever; world at war is cool because nazi zombies, but it is not on wii other wise modern warfare 2.

it depends because the waw has a better mini game nazi zombies but mw2 has better online and story so it depends if you like zombie blood and gore you should go for waw but if you like a story and better online you should get mw2.

Call of duty modern warfare 2 obviously it was made later and it is made by a more developed company.

In my opinion i would say Call of Duty 4 is better because of its multiplayer gameplay.
