May 2, 2013
as of may 11, 2013, 10,450,125 minecraft accounts have been purchased.
It was most likely to come out on May 29, but since that past try the online version of Minecraft, update Java to Java 6 ( the minecraft launcher will be updating), update possibly to the latest "snapshot (13w series)", or it will most likely come out sometime by the middle of June or early July 2013, based on when the updates are coming out. All I can say is be patient. Minecraft 1.6.0 will be a huge update.
Minecraft was first released on May 16th 2009. It was however officially launched as version 1.0 on November 18th 2011.
When the next update comes out (which will be May/June 2013.)
No, it won't. You must have the correct version of the mod to go with a certain Minecraft version. Id est. Mod for 1.8.1 would only work with Minecraft 1.8.1 and possibly 1.8, but it may not.
You may need to download the newest version of Java for minecraft to work. Or maybe your computer can not handle it.
Minecraft should work none the less in May of 2013, try hitting "Options" on the launcher before logging in. Then hit "force update" and it should fix some to most of your issues.
Minecraft has been available since the 'Classic' version release in May 2009, the full release of the game was on November 18th 2011.
1.6 and 1.6.1 had a couple of bugs in it and was a problem for some people. Simply download the 1.6.2 or newest version and it should fix the problem. If it doesn't then you will have to reinstall the game. Usually you can just save your world saves, screen shots and such in your .minecraft folder and delete the .minecraft folder and start the launcher again and it will re-download the game. The bin folder is no longer used so it will not be re-downloaded.
