Either select a flooded forest harvest tour or alternatively the quest "the deadliest catch". Make sure you have the maximum amount of steel pickaxes with you and a full set of leather armour with 4 gathering jewels and a whim jewel. This armour set will double the amount of materials at each mine spot and decrease the chance that your pickaxe will break . Next i will give you a route through the mine spots, along the way (if your are doing "the deadliest catch") kill upto 6 ludroth only!
Head to area 1, mine . Know swim through 3 and into 4. Enter area 5, mine the one spot. Enter six, there will be a mine spot and above it another one. Swim through to 8 and wait. Your waiting for a blue mine spot to appear. Once it does mine it and head to your left, climb the ivy and turn right at the top. Along the tunnel should be a couple more mine spots. Now (if your are doing "the deadliest catch") kill the seventh ludroth.
this tactic is great for farming pelagacite ore and (in high rank) bathycite ore.
