To use downloaded maps for Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, first, ensure the map file is in the correct format (typically .w3x for custom maps). Place the downloaded map file into the "Maps" folder within your Warcraft 3 directory, usually found under "Warcraft III\Maps\Download." Once in the game, launch Warcraft 3, go to the "Custom Games" menu, and you should see your downloaded map listed there for you to select and play.
You can download maps at www.epicwar.com.
Just drag all the maps from the torrent to the WC3 map folder.
Go to your Warcraft Maps Directory which is in C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Maps\ then find the map that you want to rename. Right-click then 'Rename'. From there, you should be able to rename your map.
Nope you need to buy the full version to play maps.
Warcraft 3 maps are by default melee maps unless you add more Triggers or player specific units, custom units...etc on the map...on the bottom right corner of the World Editor it tells you if it's either a melee map or a custom map (scenario) and the reasons why. Same goes for Frozen Throne.
http://www.getdota.com/that is the official site, i reallise this answer is old, but the official site stays up to date with every map including AI+ maps as soon as they're created...-----------------------------------In addition you could also check www.epicwar.com, you could search dota or warcraft 3 maps in this site. World of Warcraft trial accounts do use the Cataclysm maps but you would not be able to access them as you can only level up to level 20 in the trial version.
