Up down left right select start There you go all characters unlocked
once in matchmaking, splitscreen, custom games, or campaign (lobby not actually playing) press start, then go right and click apperance. here you can change from spartan to elite or chance colors or even your emblem.
you start an offline game and press start on the second controller on the screen after you choose the level etc if i remember correctly, sorry if im wrong
there is no warhawk splitscreen as far as i know While in an online match, press start on the second controller and split screen will be activated (though not all servers have split screen pemitted). You can play with up to four players on one system.

Class mods allow you to change classes in game. For example, equipping the correct class mod can change your hunter from an assassin to a scavenger or a survivor. If you're asking if you can change from say the Siren to the Solider in mid-game while keeping your quest progress and levels, no. You'll have to start a new game as one of the other characters. If you're playing Borderlands on the PC, there may be a patch or mod that allows you to do this.
