RE: That helps nobody. One half you find through finding the Blue Lilly flower for the boy with the big head in Dos Cactos, and the other half you find on top of the entrance to the bank after it's been robbed.

You have to stop the train robbery. its hard but use space bar to stop the time.you can reload then. you only have a limited amount. after that if you go to the bank, its been robbed on top of the bottom sign is the bottom piece :P

There are two pieces to the hideout map. One is found at the bank in Rock Ridge after it is robbed. The other you get from the big-headed kid in Dos Cactos when you help him get his head back to normal.

You have to fix the clock in the clock tower (in Diamond Plains). When it shows 3 PM, a train will arrive. Board the train and fight off the train robbers, who will then rob the bank in Rock Ridge instead. Go there and find the map piece on top of the ruined bank.

The other part of the map is with the big-headed kid in Dos Cactos. He needs the cure, which is a blue flower found in the Mine in Rock Ridge. Go there. Get the key to the lock by shooting it from the canary's claws at the Mine shack. In the mine, ride the cart and shoot the targets, until you find the flower deep in the mine.

In Some Detail

One piece of the map is with a red-headed boy with a huge head in Dos Cactos. He needs a blue flower to reduce his head. This flower can be found in the mine at Rock Ridge. Go to Rock Ridge and climb up the buildings, then run across the railroad track to the end where a chained-off door stands. The key to this door is with a canary, who is sitting on the shack. Get your pea or spud shooter and fire away at the canary, who will drop the key. Grab it, head inside the door, and hop in the mine cart. Take the ride and be sure to hit the targets with your shooter, and when you are done, you will reach the place where the flower is. Climb up and you will be back at the entrance of town, so call Elmer with the whistle and return to Dos Cactos to give the boy the flower. In return, he will give you a piece of the map.

Another piece of the map will be atop McGready's bank after it gets robbed by El Mustachio's gang. They will not rob it until you ride in the train at Diamond Plains, and the train will not run until the clock tower is fixed. So first, to fix the clock tower, get something to trade for an oil can: an old saddle from the cowgirl in Rock Ridge (you have to catch her missing calf). Go to Dusty Gulch and trade it for the oil can.

Then head over to Diamond Plains to the clock tower, climb up and head inside. Work your way to the upper left corner and oil up the gears correctly to get the clock working (just oil the center row of gears). With the clock working, a train will arrive, so go left and ride the train to Rock Ridge. Along the way use your shooter to prevent the gang from robbing the train. After the ride, they will have robbed the bank, so hop onto the roof of the bank and the map piece will be there.

There are 2 pieces to the Gang Hideout Map on Wild West Island.

1) One is found at the bank in Rock Ridge after it is robbed. This happens immediately after you beat the train robbery.

2) The other is given to you by the big-headed kid in Dos Cactos. You have to cure him by getting the Blue Tulip from the mine at Rock Ridge.

In Detail

1) To get one map piece, you play the train robbery scene, where the gang attacks the train. Collect the saddle for returning the calf at Rock Ridge, and swap it for an oil can at the Trading Post in Dusty Gulch. In the clock tower of Diamond Plains, oil the middle set of gears to get the clock to work, and at 3:00 the train will arrive.

*To get the Concentration Carbonate from the medicine peddler in Rock Ridge (may need on train robbery): Win the Slap Jack game at the Dos Cactos casino for the gold claim map. Swap the saddle (or oil can) for the gold pan to pan for a nugget at the map location. You will need the Transparency Tonic later in the game.

2) To reduce the head for the boy: go to the coal car at the mine at the upper right in Rock Ridge. Click the canary to get the key to enter the mine at right. By shooting the red targets that change the switches, you get the mine cart through the mine, and find the blue flower that cures the kid. He gives you the top map piece.
