The PlayStation 3 is not designed to work without a hard drive. When the hard drive is worn out after many rewrites, the PlayStation 3 will no longer function and the hard drive should be replaced.
you cant.....you need the disk
it's the hard disk drive
no it cant with a disk...if you plug in a psp to a ps3 then you can share many games from the playstation store
no, you need the disk
If a program's executable file or setup / install files are not saved to the harddrive, no, the program will not run without the disk in the disk drive.
Your hard disk drive (Or HDD) is the equipment that stores all the data on your system. This includes all save data, downloads, and user account on your system. Without an HDD the PS3 could not function properly.

there is no way to get a playstation 3 disk on a playstation 2. that is impossible unless you somehow mod your playstation 2 to be able to do that. the other way around though is possible. you can put a playstation 2 or a regular playstation disk on a playstation 3.
turn on the PlayStation without a disk in it then go into the picture that looks like a memory card and click (pressing x or o i cant remember) on the ones you want to delete and the PlayStation will tell you the rest
You probably need to clean it.
First, that should never happen, but if it does, the drive could be damaged and might be misaligned. After you get the damaged disk out, try reading an older disk, something that you don't care if it's destroyed. If you can read the disk without scratching it the drive is probably ok. Otherwise, get a new drive.
You cant. Becaus the system will not allow it.
