No, if you delete it from your computer it's gone.
You can only delete custom content. Open The Sims 3 Launcher, find and select the item(s) you want to remove. Then, click on 'Uninstall'.
You can find custom content on various third-party websites, or by downloading pre-made Sims with custom content from the Sims 3 Exchange.
I dont know really thats what im trying to do,but you could go to the EA documents open the downloads folder and look for the custom content you want to delete :)
You go to the folder you downloaded the items in, and simply delete them. (The folder is Documents/EA games/ Sims 2/ Downloads)
make sure you have the latest update, turn mods and custom content off, and uninstall if necessary.

You can delete a single house or a neighborhood in the game. Same goes for downloaded custom content. If you mean you want to delete all your neighborhoods and start over, go to My Documents/EA Games and delete the The Sims 2 folder.
If you know how to make custom content then you can. Mod the Sims has a "how to" tutorial on custom content.
it means what you downloaded wasn't packaged right, or has other problems and is causing your game to crash, the only solution is to delete the custom content that is causing the crash.
