First person shooters are always popular and the Call of Duty has been one of the best selling series. BLACK OPS AND BLACK OPS II IS ALSO POPULAR BECAUSE IT HAS THE ZOMBIE MODE OF GAMEPLAY

It's just overdramatized like the rest of the shooter games- except it's like the Michael Jackson of the genre. I think it's stupid how popular shooters are. Plus, they're the worst games to play for your health, because every shot is a flash on the screen... flashing isn't good for your eyes at all. RPGs are the way to go anyway :)

This game is only good because lots of people like first person shooters now-a-days. They (Infinity Ward) did an AMAZING job designing, writing the plot, and making this game unpredictable. Many of the cool characters die, though, so dont get mad when they do. When I found out that a cretin person dies, I got very angry at my friend for not telling me. I would buy it, if I were you.

MW3 (modern warfare 3) is so popular for a couple reasons. One it's a Call of Duty game they are so popular since Call of Duty 1 came out and then ended up with Call of Duty modern warfare 3 being the last one for now. In 2012 they may be a new Call of Duty let's hope.
