As of 2012, there are no plans to bring Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to the Xbox 360. There are numerous challenges involved with porting the game to the Xbox 360 platform, the most obvious being the limited processing and graphical capabilities of the 360 architecture, as well as the PlayStation-specific portions of the game. However, given that Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 were eventually released on platforms other than the PlayStation family, it's not entirely impossible for Metal Gear Solid 4 to appear on an Xbox system in the distant future.
