put in about an inch of water, then pick up the wrinkles and pull them out from the inside.
There are a number of products you can use to prolong the life of your pool. You could install a wall foam between your pool wall and the liner to keep a smooth surface next to your liner to help prevent punctures. You could purchase a liner pad or pool padding for the bottom of your pool. And you can invest in vinyl liner repair kits to repair the small punctures and prolong the life of your liner.
To repair an indentation in an inground pool liner, first, drain the pool below the level of the indentation. Smooth out the area by using a roller or your hands to push the liner back into place. If the indentation is due to air or water trapped behind the liner, you may need to create a small hole to release the trapped material and then seal it with a patch. Finally, refill the pool to check if the repair holds and the liner remains smooth.
If the pool is drained by mistake and the liner has floated, make sure to keep the liner wet. This will prevent it from possible shrinkage.
There are many places where one can buy a pool liner. One can buy a pool liner at popular on the web sources such as Liner World, USA Pool Pros, and National Pool Wholesalers.
It isn't easy, I did one once. You start by marking the middle of the liner and put it in loosely and tape it on the outside of the metal so the middle just touches the bottom and is centered as beat as you can. Start the water and as it fills you will have to loosen the liner with the tape. This will cause the bottom to stretch out smooth on the bottom (hope you have nice clean sand on the bottom). Keep loosening the liner as it fills so it fits tight and smooth on the bottom. As it reaches the sides you keep it filling and watch the sides as it fills. It is important to have the bottom level and smooth Prior to the instillation above. Good luck, it is worth the effort once it is done. But with winter coming on, I don't know if I would do it now, maybe in the Spring.
The pool liner pad is placed underneath the pool liner to prevent items from cutting through the liner. If the liner is already leaking, the liner pad will not stop the leak.
by taking the liner away!
To fix a 20 x 40 in-ground liner pool with concrete damage in the deep end, first drain the pool and remove any damaged concrete. Repair the concrete by filling cracks with a suitable concrete patching compound and resurfacing the area if needed to ensure a smooth finish. Once the repairs are complete, allow sufficient curing time before reinstalling the liner and refilling the pool. Consider applying a waterproof sealant to prevent future damage.
Overlap refers to just that... the liner overlaps the top of the pool. The other option is a hung liner, where the liner locks into a track..
A protective ground cloth or tarp should be placed underneath an above ground pool to prevent damage to the pool liner and provide a smooth surface for the pool to sit on.

That normally depends on where you are getting the liner from, but in most cases, you measure the pool diameter and actual pool wall height. When you order the liner, let the liner manufacturer know the liner is for an above-ground pool with an overlap liner. The liner manufacturer will then make the pool wall enough longer to allow several inches of liner material to fold over the top of the pool wall and anchor it in place with the liner locking strips.
