Try power washing the deck or steam cleaning it. If that portion of the deck is in the shade you will have an ongoing problem. Check for proper drainage of the deck and try to correct. Try to keep that part of the deck dry.
There are a wide variety of solutions when it comes to controlling algae in swimming pools. The best and most widely used method for controlling algae is by using chlorine.
Tricky question: Maybe! Green water ,on the whole, is caused by algae. Algae is a single celled plant and should cause no problem BUT if the water has algae it usually has little or no chlorine. This is where the problem comes in. With no chlorine you may be glowing pathogens (germs, viruses and Bactria). That's where your problem lies.
I have the same problem, my pool shop suggested getting the acid level to normal (around pH 6-6.5) ensuring stabiliser levels were normal and adding granulated chlorine, I added the choline and it went cloudy (don't add liquid chlorine at this stage) leave it for a week then go back to normal chlorine dosing, the combination of these steps should remove the black spot, mine went to a lighter shade of green but is still there, I may have to repeat the first 2 steps as my pool was out of balance. Did you try anything else that may have worked? Ian
yes it can get eaten by algae if bulrush comes near algae.
i dont knosw what chlorine is, it comes from water.
the algae does affect it. the algae is a little monster that comes out and eats people.
Argon is the noble gas that comes in the periodic table after chlorine.
Approximately 50-85% of the Earth's oxygen comes from marine plants, such as algae. While algae in the ocean play a significant role in oxygen production, the majority of the Earth's oxygen supply actually comes from terrestrial plants and phytoplankton.
About 50-80% of the Earth's oxygen comes from algae, with the majority being produced by phytoplankton in the oceans. Algae are vital for oxygen production through photosynthesis, which converts carbon dioxide into oxygen as a byproduct.
A covalent bond is formed when a chlorine atom comes in contact with another chlorine atom, as they share electrons to achieve stability by completing their outer electron shell. This results in the formation of a chlorine molecule (Cl2).
Some algae's are not only beneficial but also very pretty, like Coraline algae, which comes in purple and red! Others like hair algae can be a real nuance
Black algae is the hardest to get rid of However be very carefull when it comes to emtying your pool especialy after rain as the ground water around your pool could forse it to start floating. which would ruin your pool altogether. Let me tell you this - in 2 weeks you could not get that much black algae. It took you months of neglect to harvest this crop of algae. I think you pool plaster could be no worse than as if you left the pool dry for the entire summer. If th estatement above thinks that emptying the pool during rainy weather is going to be bad for your pool ( and it will) then what you have spurned here is just as serious. Take some lessons on how to maintain a pool and look for a pool contractor who can remove all the plaster in your pool and start over again. Black algae is not your only problem. As an inexperienced person with a pool you can not see the problems that have developed along with the black algae. Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. Shame on you.
