Things you have to worry about at the ocean and not at the pool:

1. Marine life (aka SHARKS!)

2. Decreased visibility in the water causes a higher risk for drowning.

3. Rip Currents are extremely powerful and can drag anyone under and keep them there. They can appear out of nowhere and if you struggle against them then you waist precious energy and oxygen.

4. Bacteria can grow in the sand causing disease.

5. For those who live in Australia, at some points in the season, box jellyfish are extremely dangerous and are hard to spot in the murky ocean waters.

6. Sun poisoning. You can get this at the pool, but always wear sunscreen when outdoors! Sun poisoning is serious enough to hospitalize you.
