If you have never had a pool before, it would be best to take a sample to your local pool store each week to be analyzed. They will give you a print out of how much of each chemical to add. In the meantime, sign up for a course on pool water chemical management at your local college. Or you can buy a book on pool chemical servicing and teach yourself. But still take a sample weekly to store and compare your decisions for chemicals to theirs until they are the same.

How can you remove stains from wood chips in a salt system pool?

My experience is that the stains will go away by themselves, through the effects of the chlorination of the water. Does not matter if the pool is a salt pool or fresh water pool. If the pool has a plaster finish, brushing the stains with a wire pool brush will speed up the process.

How many chlorine pucks should you use?

The number of chlorine pucks to use in a pool depends on the size of the pool and the manufacturer's instructions. It is recommended to use 1-3 chlorine pucks per 10,000 gallons of water in your pool. It is important not to overuse chlorine pucks as it can lead to over-chlorination and cause irritation or damage to the pool equipment.

How do salt levels in salt pool go up?

If you are adding salt to a salt water pool with a salt water chlorination system and the TDS level does not go up then the problem probably lies with the chlorination system not working (the electrolysis unit or power supply). Adding salt directly to the pool will increase the TDS (Total Dissolved Salts) concentration of the water.

How do you convert a saltwater pool to a chlorine pool?

Turn of the salt water chlorination and start adding chlorine the same as you would in an ordinary pool. The salt water in the pool will become less salty over time so you don't have to worry about changing the water. You could tidy it up a little by removing the saltwater chlorinator element or you could just leave it.

How much salt is needed in a pool of 30000 liters that over flowed with the rain and the chlorine is very high?

If you don't have an indicator with the chlorination equipment, go to a pool shop where they will be able to supply you with the equipment to tell you this. Take a sample of water with you as they can probably do it for you in the shop.
