If it is a rather large waterfall, the water is filling up the bowls in the waterfall till it spills over back into the pool. If you have to keep adding water after using the waterfall it could be a leak in the waterfall itself. If you don't have to add water when the waterfall is not in use and you do when you use it, well, guess what? Probably a leak in the waterfall. If it is a natural rock waterfall look for cracks in the grout between rocks. If artificial rock, look for cracks everywhere.

How does erosion effect a waterfall?

Erosion can cause a waterfall to retreat upstream over time by wearing away the rock and sediment at the base, creating a plunge pool. The force of the waterfall can also erode the sides of the waterfall, creating a deeper channel and possibly changing the shape of the waterfall itself.

Will a waterfall not cause a great deal of erosion?

Waterfalls do cause erosion, but generally at a slower rate compared to other factors like heavy rainfall or human activities. The force of the water falling can erode the rock and soil at the base of the waterfall, leading to the formation of a plunge pool. Over time, this erosion can contribute to the retreat of the waterfall upstream.

What is draining your battery-Alternator starter and battery all ok?

How do tides cause the waterfall effect?

Tides affect the level of water in a coastal area, which can impact the flow of a waterfall. When the tide is high, more water may be flowing over the waterfall, creating a more dramatic effect. Conversely, during low tide, less water flow may result in a less impressive waterfall.
