The most common reason would be LOW VOLTAGE. CHECK THE POWER AT THE MOTOR. MOST PUMPS RUN ON 220V IF ITS ONLY GOT 110 THATS WHY. CHECK THE POWER AT THE TIMER AND BREAKER ALSO USE A VOLT METER AND CHECK THE POWER AT THE MOTOR, BOTH LINES AND NOT TO GROUND.. CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE MOTOR..

The pool pump is most likely losing the vacuum due to clogged up filters. The filters need to be checked and cleaned.

Not aware that Hayward made motors. You need the pump seal, gaskets or orings and the tools to remove and reinstall the motor and the seal. The electrical connections and power need to be removed and or turned off at the circuit breaker.
Hayward Northstar is probably the best and most energy efficient. Hayward Super 2 is also a great pump and less expensive than the Northstar. Sta-Rite Dura Glass is an industry standard and very dependable.
