Fabrique Nationale is the Belgian manufacturer that used to make firearms for Browning. (And others) I can't tell you about more the modern era, but the older guns are excellent. They're as good as you can get. I have a Browning 30-06 Mauser action made in 1974 by FN, and I have an identical rifle with FN's own markings. I have a Browning 9 mm High Power made in Belgium.
