I'm not going to tell you to go out and shoot it, but in general, these are fairly well-made guns and if they have been given reasonable care are still safe to use. You should have an experienced gunsmith inspect any old gun before you use it. Even if the 'smith gives it his blessing, I wouldn't use any magnum loads or steel shot.
NO NO NO. Please don't ever try to fire rifle ammo from a shotgun!
This was my first shotgun, it was purchased for me by my Grandfather in 1980 brand new. This was my first shotgun, it was purchased for me by my Grandfather in 1980 brand new.

Assuming you're talking about who the company transitioned into, and that would be Savage Stevens firearms. http://www.savagearms.com/
Made by Stevens for Montgomery Ward. It's equivalent to the Stevens 311. If fully functional, but not in like-new condition, it should be worth $200+ (retail).
Try Numrich or Bob's Gun Parts. They are both on the web.
I assume you mean the ammo components, i.e. Primer, Small Pistol; Primer, Shotgun. You can get these either from disassembling ammo of the same category (Sm. Pistol, Lg. Pistol, Sm. Rifle, Lg. Rifle, Shotgun, or .50 MG) or you can buy them from various vendors. The Gun Runners have it almost all the time.
