the value of a real Annie Oakley .22 is giant, it is not about the gold and the engraving, it is the smoothness of it's action, which is a lot less clumsy than the one of a Marlin 39AS, or an ERMA, or you name it even the one of the ordinary 9422, the Annie Oakley gun is smart, fast, reliable and "classy"........ the value is humungous.....
There are several firearms that have been positively identified as used by Annie Oakley. They include Smith & Wesson revolvers, assorted shotguns, and rifles made by Winchester and Marlin, among others. She also used a number of .22 rifles. Many of her larger caliber "rifles" were actually smoothbore firearms, to permit the use of shot cartridges rather than solid bullets.
.22 WRF or .22 Remington Special
Annie Oakley used a variety of rifles in her exhibitions. The Stevens she is associated with is one of the earlier tip-up variety, not sure of which model. She is also famously associated with the Model 1891 Marlin lever action, various Winchester models, and Parker shotguns. sales@countrygunsmith.net
