Not sure about this exact model but.....normally with bolt actions you (ENSURE IT'S UNLOADED!!!!) open the action, then pull the trigger and hold it completely pulled, then attempt to remove the bolt by sliding it further rearward, some times if it hasen't been ever pulled you may have some stiffness but if it fights you DON'T FORCE IT!! No go?? take it to a gun shop for a "free appraisal" and off the cuff ask them how to pull it. They are usually pretty nice and helpfull. good luck.

Your rifle is a Marlin 81 made for Sears. Insure the rifle is COMPLETELY unloaded. Open the bolt, release safety,draw bolt to the rear, depress and hold trigger, slide bolt out of receiver.
