I have an Echo Straight Shaft Weed Eater 2cycl 21.2cc. I am having trouble restringing it! The instructions show to line up the head with the arrows which i did then to push one end through one end out the other! One of the problems is the String doesn't want to come out the other end! With Needle Nose Pliers I was able to get the other end out. then i pulled it out making both end equal. then it says to hold the head and turn clock wise the top part of the head! The problem is it will not wind up the line? I tried it and started all over again by pulling the line out and restringing it again still it won't pull the string into the head! What am i doing wrong? What do I need to do? This is suppose to be easy! But I can't seem to get it! I am frustrated and not able to use my weedeater! Thank you for your Help Sincerely robert
The best type of string to use for a Kobalt weed eater is a high-quality, durable trimmer line that is compatible with the specific model of the weed eater.
To replace the string on a weed eater, first, turn off the weed eater and disconnect the spark plug. Then, remove the spool housing and take out the old string. Cut a new piece of string to the appropriate length and thread it through the spool. Wind the string in the direction indicated on the spool and secure the ends. Finally, reassemble the spool housing and reconnect the spark plug before using the weed eater again.
To perform a Ryobi weed eater string replacement, first turn off the weed eater and disconnect the spark plug. Then, remove the spool cover and take out the old string spool. Cut a new piece of string to the appropriate length and thread it through the spool. Wind the string in the direction indicated on the spool and secure the ends. Finally, replace the spool back into the weed eater and reattach the spool cover.
The amount of weed eater string you need for yard maintenance depends on the size of your yard and how often you use the weed eater. It's a good idea to have at least one extra spool of string on hand so you don't run out in the middle of a job.
Yes it is.

Yes, the size of the weed eater string does matter for its effectiveness and performance. Thicker strings are generally more durable and can handle tougher vegetation, while thinner strings are better for lighter tasks. The size of the string can impact how quickly and efficiently the weed eater can cut through grass and weeds.
Your Ryobi weed eater string may not be coming out due to a tangled or jammed string, a worn-out spool, or a faulty trimmer head. To fix it, try removing the spool and untangling the string, replacing the spool if necessary, or checking and replacing the trimmer head if it's damaged.
It's tangled on the spool. You need to open & rewind around it.
