Rifles of many different kinds are currently produced by many manufacturers from inexpensive hunting rifles of Savage to army rifles of Colt to tactical rifles of CheyTac to .50 caliber Barrets to fancy Cooper sporters.
Go to the Ruger website, under customer service, historical data, rifles, select your model, find serial number, and it will show year of manufacture.
