This answer applies only to the US. The M-16 as issued to the US Military is a full auto firearm (machinegun) These can fall into 2 legal categories- those that are already registered, and those that are not. A LEGAL M-16 that has been registered, and can be bought by a law abiding 21 year old resident of America sells for about $26,000, plus a $200 transfer tax. An M-16 that has NOT already been registered can only be transferred to a law enforcement agency or a military unit. THOSE sell for about $1,600. For a private citizen to be found in possession of an UNREGISTERED M-16 is worth 10 years in a Federal prison, and a fine of up to $10,000.
The "m16" at Delta force is the Tippmann Alpha Black. It is a very cheap, reliable and customisable gun. It is a great choice for beginning markers.
No such weapon.
A typical M16 bolt weighs around 0.28 ounces or 8 grams.
5.56mm packs a punch. It's stopping power is good, but a gun like the MG3 can easily outkill an M16 with its 7.62mm rounds.
In a way the M16 is a machine gun, but it can also do three round burst and semi automatic. civilians are not allowed to have automatic m16s unless you have an automatic weapons permit, but you can have a semi automatic M16. (an AR-15 is almost like an M16 and much cheaper if you're looking to buy one.)
8.5 pounds or more depending on how much attachments you put on it.
The bullet energy from the AK 47 is higher than a round from an M16 or M4. That doesn't mean it is necessarily a better weapon. The AK 47 is very reliable but the M16 is much more accurate.
A M16 cost about $2000.00
No such weapon made by Colt
The value of a Colt M16 can vary significantly based on factors such as the model, condition, and market demand. Generally, prices for military surplus M16 rifles can range from $1,200 to $3,000, while collector's items or rare variants may fetch higher prices. Legal restrictions and ownership regulations also affect market value. For an accurate appraisal, it's best to consult current listings or a firearms expert.
roughly one pound, when loaded
It's pretty much just the fire/safety selector.
