To remove the barrel from a 1903 Springfield rifle, first ensure the firearm is unloaded and safe. Then, use a barrel vice to securely hold the barrel, and a receiver wrench to grip the receiver. Carefully apply counter-clockwise torque to unscrew the barrel from the receiver. Once loosened, you can remove the barrel completely; be cautious to avoid damaging the receiver or barrel threads during this process.
