Im looking for one myself. You might have to get it tapped by a gunsmith or a scope rail. I havent seen any custom mounts for it.
yes,many have done that.
if it did not come with the provision to mount a scope on it you can take it to a gunsmith and have it drilled and tapped for one.
You will have to have it checked by a gunsmith.

The marlin model 336 in .35 cal will sell in the range of 200-350 dollars, depending on overall condition and a good bore. The price of the scope depends on the type of Bushnell you have and condition.
Top or action has a dove tail to hold rings. If your rifle has no dove tail it may need scope bases, I am almost positive that all 66's had dovetail tops.
For the J.C. Higgins Model 50 rifle, a popular choice for a one-piece scope mount is the Leupold Dual Dovetail Mount. This mount provides a sturdy and reliable platform for optics while maintaining the rifle's classic aesthetics. Additionally, it’s essential to ensure compatibility with the rifle's specific action type and scope tube diameter for optimal performance. Always check for specific fitment details before purchasing.
If the mount can be put on the firearm, yes.
