They have been made once, usually for commercial hunters. There are none currently made that I know if.
It is difficult to find even 10 gauge shotgun ammo today. I have my doubts if 8 gauge shotgun ammo is even made any more, but corrections welcomed.

In general terms no there are 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 28, 32 and .410 (67 gauge) although if the gun is from pre- 1910 almost every gauge imaginable was made by someone during the mid to late 1800's and a few oddballs up until 1910. There are some 6 and 8 gauge that were referred to as punt guns that were made to mount to a boat for shooting birds but they are also uncommon.

It was actually an 8 barreled gun. Each barrel was a small cannon, and the gun had 8-12 barrels. It looked a bit like a leaf rake, since the barrels spread out in a fan. Each barrel was a single shot muzzle loading gun- but you could shoot 8 times before reloading.
