to protect yourself and family members. as an investment, many guns atleast hold there value whille cars go down in value and property is a large investment that is more risky. some guns become extremly valueble as they age and are therefore a good investment or atleast a good way to store value. guns can also be a good hobby, guns like the AR-15 come in many sizes, colors, with many optics, and attatchments so it is a way for people to spend excess money and time.
