You will need to consult with a lawyer familiar with CO gun laws for a current, correct and legal answer
Federal law is 18 for long arms and 21 for hand guns.
You need to consult with an attorney who is familiar with CO firearms law.
Your problem is not Colorado law, it is Federal law, which takes precedence over state law. If you have been convicted of a crime of domestic violence, Federal law prohibits you from possessing a gun. I'm sorry, but there IS no time limit- it is permanent.

Unless your brother in law enjoys hearing the lies each day then I would ask him to just not listen to any more of them and tell the co worker that you are his family and he would rather not hear it. If this co worker is telling these lies to your brother in law at the work place then go to your boss and have both of them called in the office to confront the co worker, better yet tell your brother in law that is your plan if it keeps on and maybe he will stop it for you. If the brother in law and the co worker don't work together and the co worker is telling these lies to him outside his work then just get your brother in law in the car and meet this co worker and ask the person why are you lieing on me,your brother in law can be your back up and stop this if he wants too before it gets this far.
Out of business
She is the co-mother in law of you and your daughter's father in law is your co father in law. :-)

No records.
Even though they may be non-extraditable, it seems highly unlikely that CO would allow you to lawfully purchase a firearm when they had knowledge of outstanding criminal actions awaiting you in another state. Just because they are "non-extraditable" doesn't mean they "go away."
