Glock originally manufactured military and law enforcement firearms, specifically starting with the Glock 17, a semi-automatic pistol designed by Gaston Glock in the early 1980s. The company was founded in Austria in 1963 and initially produced plastic and rubber products, including field knives and other military supplies. It wasn't until the introduction of its pistols that Glock gained widespread recognition in the firearms industry. Today, Glock is known for its innovative designs and reliability in handguns.

To find out when your Glock was made, you can check the serial number located on the frame of the pistol. Glock uses a coding system where the first two digits indicate the year of manufacture. For example, a serial number starting with "AC" would suggest it was made in 2001. Additionally, you can contact Glock customer service or visit their website, where you can input your serial number for more detailed information.
Glock 17, Glock 18, Glock 19, Glock 26, Glock 34, and, if you count the 9x17/.380 ACP in this running, the Glock 25 and Glock 28.
The one that's best is the one which is best suited to your needs. If you have small hands or are looking for a concealed carry piece, the Glock 21, for example, is probably not your best choice, and the Glock 26 would probably be a much better choice for you. The standards of manufacture are the same throughout the entire Glock line. The Glock that is "best" for you will be base on, in part, your hand size/strength, recoil sensitivity, pocketbook and what, if any, experience you've had with Glocks. Look for an NRA certified instructor.
