It implies that the cartridge is more powerful, but it means that the cartridge has "magnum" in its' name. It is more of a marketing tool than a factual one.
A magnum cartridge is one where the case has been elongated to provide more room for powder, thus more power. The diameter of the bullett will be the same, or close enough, but the extra length increases the combustion. Usually, the cases have thicker walls to control the higher pressure explosion. Also, the cylinders and barrels of the corresponding weapon may me beefed up also to handle the added pressure and velocity.
It's 12.7mm. Calibre is 1/100th of an inch. So, a "50 Calibre" gun, which is what a Desert Eagle is and on paper would read ".50cal", after the conversion to mm, which is 25.4mm to 1", would be 12.7mm.
It's not. It has its niche, and there are applications where another calibre would be more desirable.
The magnum .55 is the most powerful, but some Desert Eagle has the highest calibre bullet.
What calibre Desert Eagle did you have in mind? The Desert Eagle came in .357 Magnum, but was also available in several considerably more powerful calibres, including .41 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .440 Cor-Bon, and .50 Action Express.
When they say what is a type of gun is a 460--I'm assuming what they are really asking about is the Wetherby 460 Magnum which is a proprietary belted magnum big/dangerous game rifle cartridge made by Weatherby (the gun manufacturer) for their proprietary hunting rifle of the same calibre.
In wine bottle nomenclature (measurements) a magnum is equal to 2 regular size bottles.
Not the rimfires (.22 Short, .22 Long, .22 Long Rifle, .22 Magnum), but centrefire cartridges in the same calibre range (.22-250, .222 Remington, .223 Remington Magnum, .223 Remington, etc.) can be sufficient for coyote.
Magnum lifestyle is when you wear condoms for sex. SAVE sex. ;)
As long as both the rifle and the revolver are chambered in .44 magnum you can use the same ammunition for both. I have a Henry rifle in .44 mag and a Ruger redhawk .44 mag and I use the same ammo for both. That's one of the nice things about that caliber.
The Desert Eagle feeds from detachable box magazines - it does not use clips. Magazine capacity varies by calibre. The .50 Action Express and .440 Cor-Bon models use seven round magazines. The .44 Magnum and .41 Magnum models use eight round magazines. The .357 Magnum model has a nine round magazine.
Sid Vicious was the bass player but he didnt actuallt play on the album. Glen matlock did but , Sid did play bass on "Bodies" but that was taken out last minute and replaced by glen matlock's playing.
The Colt Python is a .357 Magnum caliber revolver. The gun was first introduced in 1955 but production of the gun stopped around 1996 due to many legal issues.
