What is better sword or gun?

"Guns are better than swords."

I am improving that because it is an opinion. On Wiki Answers you need to put in facts instead. Swords and guns are kind of like apples and Oranges to me.

1. You don't need to reload a sword.

2. You don't need to sharpen a gun.

3. Some guns don't work in muddy terrains as they would get clogged up.

4. Swords however can work in muddy terrains.

5. Swords are most effective at close range.

6 The range of guns varies upon the type of gun.

If it is a shotgun, it is effective at close range. If it is a pistol, it is effective at medium range. If it is a rifle, it is effective at long range.

7. It is hard to shoot a moving target precisely.

8. Having a sword will make it easier to kill a moving target, if it is at close range.

Now before someone gets rid of my answer, I am going to educate you with a small history lesson regarding swords and guns. Guns did not kill off the knight. Guns and knights were around for CENTURIES before the knight was killed off.

It was money that killed off the knight. To be a knight you must be very wealthy as you would need several horses, someone to replace or repair your weapons and armor, and they would be taxed lots of money. So as people got poorer and poorer, the knights slowly started to die down. So it was money that killed off the knight, not guns.
