Of course any item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I would estimate from your description that the rifle would bring between $200 and $300. The Bluebook of gun values puts one in high end condition at between $200-$350.
Its probably a model 1894 & should be marked as such on the upper tang. Prior to the model 1894 Marlin made a Model 1889 in the same calibres that was not marked. But, a 1889 should only have 2 patent dates, 1887 & 1889 I believe. It is possible you have a model 1889 with a model 1894 barrel on it.
i don't think so, i have one that is only marked RC
It should be marked on the barrel
It is then called another condition!
You dont let us know what kind of rifle it is. Single-shot bolt action, maybe $75 in excellent condition. Slide-action (early Savage), maybe $150 in excellent condition. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Is this gun marked Marlin MR-7? If so, Marlin Firearms Co. can give you info on these newer guns.
Not sure we understand your question. Various firearm patents (and there are tens of thousands of them) are on file with the US Patent Office. If you have a patent number, or a date, that can be searched using a search engine such as Google Patent. If you mean where is it marked on a firearm- it could be anywhere- or nowhere- they are not required to be marked.
The value of a London Fine Damascus 14 gauge double barrel shotgun marked JT Sang Ford depend on its condition. This gun in excellent condition is valued between 225.00 and 320.00 as of 2014.
the 'C' series is a commercial model, not military. if an early model marked national match on slide high value (depending on condition) if original rear adjustable sights, worth more. if not marked National Match on slide, little less value. Again, all depends on condition.
Look on the barrel, it will be marked as to the proper ammunition.
I THINK you actually have a Marlin Model 49, made for Western Auto Hardware and marked as a Revelation 150M. These were made ABOUT 1954-1958. Value is as a shooter, and would run $125-$150, depending on condition. Good little hunting grade rifle.
No such model. Exactly how is the rifle marked? sales@countrygunsmith.net Marlin has a Model 39A in 22 L.R. I would love it if they made one in magnum.
