The '1864' marking you are seeing is part of a patent date, not a model number. Stevens guns generally will have the 1864 patent date through about 1916, and there were a great many models produced on the same basic action that would show that patent date. If you can send us detailed digital pictures, we can help you identify which model you have and go from there. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Impossible to answer without a detailed description
Depends on who made it, accessories, condition, etc.. Could be 100-10000 USD
Gun smith, gun shows.
If it is a typical Stevens double or single barrel there should be a metal lever towards the back of the stock slide it left or right and tilt the barrel down.
Would have to see it. Digital pictures would help. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Which model? sales@countrygunsmith.net
The value of a J Stevens single barrel 410 shotgun from 1922 depends on its condition. This gun in excellent condition is valued between 125.00 and 150.00 as of 2014.
I assume your single action is pre-war ? If so, then made about 1907. As to the caliber, check markings on barrel. that should give the caliber.......
I believe I have a Marlin No.18 pump action octagon barrel single shot rifle. Would upload photo but cannot locate this option.
Impossible to attempt to answer. With make and model we MIGHT be able to give a range of dates, without them, no way. Sort of like "I have a 6 cylinder car that was made in Detroit- what year is it?"
The Stevens 9478 and the Stevens 94K are both single-shot shotguns, but their barrels are not interchangeable. The 9478 has a unique design and specifications that differ from the 94K. Therefore, it is unlikely that a barrel from a Stevens 9478 will fit a Stevens 94K. Always consult a gunsmith or firearms expert for specific compatibility questions.
50-100 USD
