The fact that it's 16 gage is a plus. There's been a big resurgence in interest in 16's. The gun is probably from 1950. It's value would depend on it's condition and features. I paid $400 for mine and thought I got a real good deal. it's a "take-down" model in 12 ga., the bluing is gone and the fore stock is cracked, but it was made in 1909 and it still works great so I was happy.

If it is a lever action, the model number will be behind the hammer.
There is no such thing as a "model 702337". The number you list appears to be a serial number. The Model number will be stamped on the barrel, or on the upper tang behind the hammer.
The Winchester Model 1894 with a serial number starting with "L" indicates it was manufactured in the early 1920s, specifically around 1923. The nickel steel barrel and brass hammer and trigger are features that were used in various configurations of the model. Therefore, this rifle would be approximately 100 years old as of 2023. For a precise year, consulting a Winchester serial number reference guide would be advisable.
You'll need to post the model number of the gun, it will be stamped into the barrel next to the Winchester name.
