I assume your single action is pre-war ? If so, then made about 1907. As to the caliber, check markings on barrel. that should give the caliber.......

I have one that my father bought me in the early 70's. As far as I can tell, from several web sites, it is a Ithaca Model # 49 SS.
It depends on the caliber and your ability to shoot it.
