John Moses Browning built his first gun as a thirteen year old, in his father's shop in Ogden, Utah, in 1868. He spent the rest of his life developing single shot, bolt action, lever action, semi-auto and full auto firearms. At the time of his death in 1926, he held approx 128 US and foreign patents relating to firearms.

From the start all browning guns were made by FN of belguim for browning between 1903-1975.After that all guns were made by Miroku of japan.
The Ward guns were only built on the Browning Patent. Other than that Browning Arms Co. had nothing to do with them
the last guns made in America according to my data was 1975-1976.
Browning, in Morgan, Utah.
Some guns still are made there. Production started to shift to Japan in 1977
