I'm sure that's not the only one out there. I copy/pasted that URL into my browser, and it did take me to that picture.
Would need the specific model number.
My dad bought this shotgun for me when I was 16 years old which would have been in 1961-62 era.
that model shotgun has a recall on it, just thought i would let you know.
An automatic shotgun from Sears Roebuck would top out at around $200.
A receiver is legally a firearm, and is a regulated part. You would need to contact a gunsmith- and you will find you can buy a complete shotgun for less.
I WOULD ESTIMATE THE VALUE TO BE $100.00
I have a J C Higgins 101750 an I need a magazine for it. Would you like to sell the one you have. If so contact me at my email address at butch195550@yahoo.com. Thanks Alvin
In 1965, a JC Higgins Model 410 shotgun typically sold for around $89.95. Prices could vary based on the retailer and specific features of the shotgun. Adjusted for inflation, this would be approximately equivalent to around $800 today.
Advertise it in the local newspaper. I can't tell you what a fair price would be without knowing what model it is and what condition it is in, but it won't be a lot.
The JC Higgins Model 20 58359 is a shotgun that was produced by the J.C. Higgins brand, which was associated with Sears, Roebuck and Company. This particular model was made during the 1950s to early 1960s. To determine its exact age, you would typically look for the date code on the firearm, but in general, it can be considered to be around 60 to 70 years old as of 2023.
The barrel of this shotgun simply cannot be removed. It is screwed in and requires a barrel vice and the appropriate wrench. The trigger group can be removed by means of the pin at the back of the receiver, which would allow for easier access to the barrel, but this is a complicated process and is not recommended. Nothing can be removed from the J.C. Higgins Model 20 to help clean it, unfortunately.
Just about any economy single-shot shotgun, including yours, would top out at $100.
