Cherokee single shot shotguns with "25" stamped in the metal behind the trigger were manufactured by the H&R Firearms Company, specifically during the time they produced inexpensive shotguns for the American market. The "25" likely refers to a model designation or gauge. H&R was known for its simple, reliable designs that were popular among hunters and recreational shooters.
You only have twenty five seconds for one shot, or twenty five seconds to live. I'm not sure, could be either.
No
Depends. Stevens shotguns made before the Gun Control Act of 1968 would not necessarily have serial numbers, but some do. Generally found on the side of the receiver or behind the trigger guard. Also, it can be found on the bottom of the the gun just before the break in front of the trigger guard possibly between the two screws.
Very nice. I wish I had one. Did you have a question about it?
behind the glove box
It was made by J. Stevens Arms (division of Savage Arms) sometime after 1920.
Some models of Diamond Arms were made by the Crescent Fire Arms Company for the Shapleigh Hardware Company of St, Louis, Mo. between 1982 and about 1922.
If it truly does not have the serial number on it in either of the two places it was originally stamped, it is not worth much. Look closely on the bottom of the receiver frame (on the lower tang behind the trigger and on the forward edge frame).
behind the washer fluid tank
Behind the oil pan
Right behind the grill
It is stamped on the left side of the frame, just behind the engine.
