The three most common malfunctions of the M240B machine gun are failure to feed, failure to fire, and failure to eject. Failure to feed often occurs due to issues with the ammunition belt or feed mechanism, while failure to fire can result from misfires or faulty primers. Failure to eject typically happens when the spent casing does not properly exit the chamber, often due to a dirty chamber or improper lubrication. Regular maintenance and inspections can help mitigate these issues.
