Honey bees don't hibernate as such. They spend the winter in whichever place they have spent the summer and cluster together to keep warm. If there are any warm sunny days during the winter they will come out of their hive and fly around on an 'evacuation' flight.

Does the queen wasp use the same place to hibernate each winter?

No because queen wasps only live for 1 year, as opposed to queen bees. Queen wasps just live over the winter (in hibernation), but die before the next winter. They make new queens before the next winter which will hibernate.

Do africanized honey bees hibernate?

Africanized honey bees do not hibernate. They remain active and forage for food throughout the year, even in colder temperatures. They may slow down their activity during the winter months, but they do not enter a true hibernation state.

Why are honey bees eaiest to take care of?

I am not sure easiest is necessarily the best word, but the reason we keep honey bees rather than any other variety of bee is for the honey. Although other bees, such as bumble bees, do make honey it is only in small amounts because they don't need to save stores for the winter (the queens hibernate, the others die). Honey bees on the other hand don't hibernate so need to build up a stock of food during the summer to take them through the winter when nectar is not available. Beekeepers take most -- but not all -- of this honey then feed the bees during the winter with sugar syrup.

How long do rabbits hibernate?

Honey bees do not hibernate. However, they will be confined to the hive in cold weather because they cannot fly if the air temperature is below about 17C (54F). They will cluster together and vibrate their flight muscles to generate heat, keeping the centre of the cluster up to about 98F (37C). This takes energy, and is why the bees store honey: so they can feed when they can't fly out. Other bees, such as bumblebees, may hibernate through the colder parts of winter, but the length of time will depend very much on the temperature. because of global warming many bees are dyin because they come out of the hive around Christmas time cause the winters are milder
