Well, for one thing, gas doesn't freeze. But I've used the gas that sat in the tank all winter and what I've noticed is the engine runs lousy. This last year when I was done mowing in the fall I ran the mower until it ran out of gas. When I put nice new gas in it in the spring the engine ran great. Much better than in previous years when I hadn't.
