It is sold for all sorts of prices but when you read the fine print you will actually find it is a watered down version of any algaecide, Buy yourself a bottle of algaecide that contains copper sulphate and that will do the trick much better and much cheaper. Winterizing is not necessary aslong as your going to keep the chlorine levels high and circulate the pool water a few hours each day
