Fort Clatsop
Fort Clatsop was built in Oregon by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805-1806 as their winter encampment. They chose this location near the mouth of the Columbia River to establish a base for exploring the Pacific Northwest. The fort provided shelter and protection from the harsh winter weather during their stay in the region.
Fort Clatsop was the farthest west point of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. It is located on the Oregon Coast, west of Portland. The expedition's objective was to reach the Pacific Ocean.
The address of the Lewis And Clark National Historical Par is: 92343 Fort Clatsop Rd, Astoria, OR 97103-8701
They built Fort Mandan in North Dakota during the winter, so they could rest.

Lewis and Clark camp
There were three winter camps made on the expedition. One winter fort was Fort Mandan. The other was Fort Clatsop. Fort Clatsop was the fort made after reaching the Pacific and before beginning the journey back. I am still trying the find the other fort.
