The best way for the community to be involved is to report crime that occurs in your community to the police, to have the community work together to solve problems so crime is less likely to occur, and to keep the area clean. If career criminals see that people care about their community, it's a deterrent. Criminals are drawn to areas that look worn-down and look like people do not care about them.
