What happened in the middle of the Vietnam War?

He said to his class that everyone was going to get the same average grade no matter how well you do. the class got a B-. everyone. so, here's what all of the students thought. the people who didn't work or study thought you know what? this is great. i don't have to work and i'll get a good grade! the people who actually studied and tried thought, "why do i have to study to get this kind of grade? what am I doing?" so, no one studied and soon, the whole class started to get less than 50% on average. communism doesn't work. that's what we wanted to get rid of. a cool story is about a man named carlos Hathcock. he won the wimbledon cup in wisconson 1000 yard shooting competition. he went into vietnam and had 93 confirmed kills and hundreds of non-confirmed. he shot a North Vietnamese soldier through his scope and into his right eye. he went in alone or with only one person into an area where there were a lot of enemy North Vietnamese and got out alive, successfully completing the mission.
