Women in World War 1 served as nurses, nurse aids, Red Cross workers and took up the slack of men being on the war front. They worked in businesses and other jobs done by men including weapons manufacturing. Without the women in both wars the wars would have been difficult to fight and supply. Women were the backbone of both wars.
biko was a great leader of the movement of rights in the south African society. He had done every possible thing to for the rights of black people and told them to stay and fight for their rights unless you get success.
women took over the jobs that men were absent from this was the first big breakthrough on womens rights. women were looking after the children cleaning the house shopping and working this is probably why we have the multi tasking genes. womens jobs were working in factorys making ammunition with dangerous machinery that could kill them any time if they made one incorrect move they also took over jobs in offices and had a taste of the independent working women. this is probably why they were so reluctant to let the men have their jobs back after the war because they liked having their own money and timetable this was a great acheivement for womankind well done !!!! by shanara 14
During WWI a lot of the men in America had been drafted to fight in the war. So women and minority races were allowed to temporarily take the work in place of the men. The job had to get done somehow right? However when the war ended, all of the men took back their jobs and supported the women again.Hope this answers your question!

That's a broad generalization, as there are examples where women's rights are protected and the rights of men are ignored. Ask male homosexuals about cultural bigotry. But assuming your statement has some validity, it would be because men have been writing the laws.
Women got many rights and privilages during the war such as the right to do a job that previously for many years a man had done. They did not get the right to vote till 1869 in america. women now have more rights today then men.
