We did not want to join in World War One because we wanted to be a neutral country. but this all changed in 1917 when the Lusitania was wrongly sunk by German U-Boats. it was carrying 128 Americans. One year later the Sussex was sunk by German U-Boats, we were outraged and joined the war.
